Hi my name is Sheefteh Khalili and I am 18 years old. I am a first year student at University of California, Irvine, where I am majoring in Social Sciences, probably economics though, more specifically. This website is a breakthrough for me, I never would have imagined I could do something like this. Here is a little bit more about me.

I was born and raised in the small town of Claremont, CA, home of parks, schools, children, senior citizens, and residential areas. Yes, that is all there is in Claremont. No drive-thru restaurants, no billboards, no movie theaters, no shopping malls. It was a pretty quiet time...at least it was a safe place to grow up.

Being involved in sports and extracurricular activities is what kept me sane (or mostly) all those years in Claremont, I played soccer for 12 years, starting out in AYSO and playing all the way up to varsity level at Claremont High School. I played goalkeeper and had a pretty strong record of saves, even though I could be called "economy size" because I am only 5'2''.

In addition to playing soccer, I ran long distance on the cross country and track teams at my high school for 2 years. It was mostly to stay in shape and build endurance, because besides playing soccer, I have also trained in martial arts since I was 13. No, I am not one of the runners in this picture.

I have been studying martial arts at Red Dragon Karate for the past 5 years and this past september, I tested for 2nd degree black belt. Training in martial arts has changed my life in many ways. Along with the actual training, I also learned to teach classes, talk to clients, and run a martial arts school; skills which will help me in whatever I choose to do in my future.
